Caprice Carthans Academy was built in honor of Caprice Carthans, who appears in the image shown here. She is alive and continues to advocate for justice, equality and the empowerment of others. Her lived experience, leadership and commitment to community are the foundation upon which this academy was created. Caprice Carthans Academy is an adult-focused educational institution created to serve individuals who are ready to complete their high school education and move forward with confidence, purpose and opportunity. We exist for students who understand the value of education but need a learning environment that respects real life, prior experiences and individual circumstances.
We believe education should be accessible, structured, and supportive rather than intimidating or out of reach. Our academy was founded on the principle that it is never too late to finish strong and that every learner deserves a pathway that honors where they have been while preparing them for where they are going.
At Caprice Carthans Academy, we do not view adult learners as students who fell behind. We see them as individuals returning with clarity, determination and lived experience. Our programs are intentionally designed to meet adult learners where they are, providing flexibility while maintaining academic integrity and high standards.

An Adult Centered Learning Model
Caprice Carthans Academy was intentionally built for adults. Many of our students balance work, family responsibilities, personal obligations and community involvement. Our program acknowledges these realities and provides a learning structure that is flexible while remaining guided and structured.
Students have the opportunity to complete their high school diploma in approximately six to twelve months depending on transfer credits and pace. Eligible high school or college credits may be transferred following transcript review. Students learn in a structured online environment with access to instructors and academic support while progressing through coursework without unnecessary repetition of material they have already mastered.
